Global physical security and access control manufacturer CDVI has launched a new edition of its popular and recognisable GALEO standalone keypad. The new edition brings an entirely new aesthetic to the GALEO, with a sleek matte black finish.
The original silver GALEO was introduced almost two decades ago in 2004. Its distinctive shape was first inspired by nature; while walking along a beach in France, the designer picked up a round, flat stone. The French word for ‘pebble’ is galet – and thus the GALEO was born. Since then, it has become a bestseller around the world. The release of the new matte black GALEO is a sign of the continued popularity of this keypad. CDVI aims to maintain the well-known and well-loved existing appearance, while investing in a modern new look for the future.
The GALEO-BLACK is manufactured in stainless ZAMAK® cast alloy, making it a robust access solution. Its IP64 and IK10 ratings are testament to this hard-wearing quality. In addition, the keypad is fixed with Torx® tamper-resistant screws to reduce the risk of damage by vandalism.
The remote electronics and additional features of the keypad are unchanged. The keys are still backlit in soft blue for ease of use at night or in low light. Bluetooth is still enabled, with an accompanying smartphone app to make installation and setup as quick and simple as possible. The GALEO-BLACK still offers up to 100 different user codes and three relays with pulse, timed, or latch operation modes.
The stylish new GALEO-BLACK is available to order now. Speak to your CDVI account manager or your local access control and physical security distributor to place an order.
