What is U4GO?

U4GO is an ultra high frequency (UHF) radio transmission solution for automated vehicle and pedestrian access. As a simple and effective automation solution, U4GO triggers automatic gates only when a valid credential approaches the barrier. With mid-range and long-range kits, U4GO suits both car gates and pedestrian gates. We also have a range of different types of credentials, so you can choose what works for you.

How does U4GO work?

U4GO is a radio transmission solution. It operates at the frequency of 865MHz, enabling the system to only grant access when a valid credential is nearby. The U4GO reader mounts at the entry barrier, and emits a cone-shaped zone of transmission signal in front of the gate. Meanwhile, the credentials are fixed to the front of the car – often this is on the numberplate or inside the windscreen. When that valid credential enters the cone area, the reader detects it and triggers the gate to open.

Automatic car park gates for offices or factories
Warehouse or factory shutters for forklift access
Logistical hubs like container ports & distribution centres
Restrict access to lorry drop-off and delivery bay areas

Why to choose U4GO for vehicle & pedestrian access

  • Standalone mode accommodates up to 7,500 UHF credentials
  • Wiegand mode makes access control integration easy
  • AES128-bit encryption robustly protects data transmission
  • Mid-range (6 metres) or long-range (10 metres) versions available
  • Detect vehicles up to a maximum speed of 80km/h
  • Choose the credential that suits you: cards, windshield stickers, or numberplate tags
