Biometric Fingerprint Technology
Employing the latest digital technology, the DGID is a revolutionary fingerprint reader which measures both the pattern and thermal image produced by a fingerprint. The technology is based on “identification” and not “verification”, therefore a fast and reliable read is obtained without the need to present a “shadow” device to assist the scanning.
DGID-W
DGID-W can be used stand alone or as part of a just about any networked access control solution either as a global reader technology or mixed with proximity readers. Biometric fingerprint reading is reliable secure and above all quick to operate. When a new user has been enrolled, a simple low pressure swipe of the person’s finger or selection of fingers will recognise them and validate entry as appropriate.
Fingerprint readers can be used site-wide or just on high security areas only with standard proximity or magnetic stripe readers used elsewhere. Individuals will have a unique database record even when using two access technologies thus simplifying reports and management. With the integration of this reliable fingerprint technology security, reporting and control has never been simpler.

Wiegand Output
With the industry standard Wiegand access control reader output connection to most third party systems is ‘Childs Play’ as almost all systems support this standard.
DGID readers from CDVI can be installed on new or existing sites whole orin part as security requirements dictate. For a demonstration of this unique technology or evaluation for connection to your chosen access control controller please do not hesitate to contact us!
CABAS
CABAS or the Combined Access and Biometric Access System from the CDVI Group combines the security of fingerprint and the flexibility of smart proximity tags. Each CABAS reader is mounted stand alone at each door and the users finger or fingers are stored on the Smart Card or Tag. The user simply presents his Smart Card or Tag and then presents his or her finger for combined validation. Because the access rights and fingerprint(s) are stored on the Smart Card or Tag then the CABAS readers do not need to be administrated or connected together.
All administration is achieved through a single PC workstation using theCABAS software console. This consist of a Windows software package, smart card writer and fingerprint
acquisition unit. All access control rights and fingerprint templates are issued here at this one central point.CABAS is simple to use with the highest security guaranteed. Other benefits include up to 16 doors per system, and unlimited users. CABAS can also be additionally combined with the Link.net & Centaur brands of PC based on-line access control.
